As the semester comes to an end we are thinking hard about best assessment practices in IBL. Even though all four of us have the same goals for our MLA classes, we use different techniques. After discussion a first set of 4 techniques last month (homework stories, solution sets, posters, and participation), we now share our thinking on five more assessment techniques: Mathematical Autobiographies, Projects, Journals, Notebook and Multiple-Choice Quizzes, and (Final) Exams.
Please consider signing up for the PREP IBL workshop and/or the R.L. Moore conference this June. We will be there and are excited to engage in even deeper thinking about IBL.

To assess growth in all these diverse areas, we have been developing a rich toolkit for assessment.
