In this video you can see how a student gets curious about a mathematical connection after I told the class about a "cool thing": a paper about the mathematics of finger printing that had just crossed my path.

This video was taken in a mathematics for liberal arts class with 15 honors students. It met two times a week for 75 minutes each.
